Little Free Library has an information sheet on locating the free library.

There are three basic choices, all with pro and cons:

1. On public property:
   • possible locations:
     • Dog park on 17th and S
     • Sidewalk on the corner of 18th & S
   • Cons:
     • We would need to get permits from the city, and this could take a very long time.  If anyone works or has a friend in the zoning department, this could be an idea
2. On Private Property:
   • Possible locations:
     • On someone’s front yard
   •  Cons:
     • Most of us have conservation easements on our properties that may make it almost as difficult as putting the library on public space.
3. On Commercial Property:
   • Possible locations:
     • I won’t name names, but there are a few establishments that could be persuaded to give up 3 ft of space…
   • Cons:
     • Would need permission from the establishment
   • Pros:
     • May bring business to the establishment
     • Is already an area of high to moderate traffic
     • No need for permits
